Types of Work Accepted:

  • We accept a wide range of fiction and non-fiction, including short stories, poetry, novels, and chapbooks.
  • We have no specific genre restrictions and welcome all—from literary fiction to memoirs, from fantasy to historical non-fiction.

Manuscript Formatting:

  • Submissions should be in Microsoft Word or PDF format.
  • Use a standard, readable font such as Times New Roman, 12-point size.
  • Manuscripts should be double-spaced with 1-inch margins.
  • There are no strict word count limits, but generally, short stories and kidlit should be under 12,000 words, novellas between 12,000 to 40,000 words, and novels between 40,000 and 150,000 words. Chapbooks should be around around 40-60 pages.

Review Process:

  • We reply to all manuscripts within six months of receipt.
  • We only accept original works that have not been published elsewhere, with the exception of individual poems, stories, or essays within a collection.
  • In non-fiction submissions, we do not accept works that promote hate speech, discrimination, or other unethical content.
  • In fiction & poetry, we recognize that characters and narratives may encompass a wide range of perspectives, including those that are challenging or controversial. It is understood that the actions and views of characters in a work of fiction are not necessarily endorsements of such behavior or ideologies. However, we expect fiction submissions to handle sensitive topics with thoughtfulness and intelligence and we do not publish depictions of gratuitous evil with no literary significance.
  • We are committed to publishing a wide range of voices and stories. We strongly encourage submissions from authors of all backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives.
  • If there are any significant updates to your submission or author profile, please let us know!
